The international registration will be published in twelve months after the date of the international registration, unless: (1) The applicant requests immediate publication; or (2) The applicant requests to defer publication beyond the standard publication period. Under the 1999 Act, deferment of publication cannot exceed 30 months from the filing date, or where priority is claimed, from the priority date of the application concerned.
