(6) Product test report
(7) Evidence of long-term use of the product name
(8) Documentary evidence of physical, chemical, sensory and other characteristics of the product and its relevance to the natural and human factors of its origin

2. What are the documents required for applying for use of a GI special symbol?
(1) Application for use of the special symbol of a GI product
1) Application Form of Use of the Special Symbol of a GI Product, the e-version of which can be downloaded from the CNIPA website, following the path: homepage-platform navigation-geographical indications-downloads, and filled according to instruction.
2) Verification report on product origin issued by the IP administration of the product origin.
3) Testing report and the technical standard used for the test issued by relevant testing institute.
4) Collection Table of All Enterprises Applying for Use of Special Symbols, which shall be filled in by the local IP administration of the product origin.
(2) Application for use of a GI special symbol registered as a collective mark
1) Scanned copy of trademark registration certificate or announcement on trademark registration.
2) Announcement on initial examination of the collective mark. If the applicant is not on the list of the collective members of the relevant mark in the annex, an announcement showing the change that the applicant has been put onto the list shall be uploaded.
3) Scanned copy of business license.
4) Valid GI technical standard (if available).
(3) Application for the use of a GI special symbol registered as a certification mark
1) Scanned copy of trademark registration certificate or announcement on trademark registration.
2) Announcement of initial examination of the certification mark.
3) Scanned copy of the announcement on recording of licensing agreement of the registered trademark or the notification of recording of licensing agreement of the trademark.
4) Scanned copy of business license.
5) Valid GI technical standard (if available).
(4) Application for recording of registration of other applicant's use of a GI special symbol
1) Form for Recording Registration of Use of a GI Special Symbol, the e-version of which can be downloaded from the CNIPA website according to the following path: homepage-platform navigation-geographical indications-downloads.
2) Provincial IP administration's suggestions on recording of registration of the use of the GI special symbol.
3) Scanned copy of business license or registration certificate of uniform social credit code of the GI special symbol user.
4) Other documents including the use summary of the GI special symbol, scanned copy of approval on organizing relevant public-interest activities and summary of the activities.
