Updated: 3 31,2025

Recently, the Roving Seminar IP Eurasia, jointly organized by the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) and the Eurasian Patent Organization (EAPO), was held in Shenyang, Changchun, and Harbin. Lu Pengqi, Deputy Commissioner of CNIPA and Yu Jian, Vice Governor of Heilongjiang Province, attended and delivered speeches at the Harbin session.

Lu emphasized that IP, as a fundamental system for innovation protection, plays a crucial role in incentivizing innovation, empowering development, promoting openness, and fostering a world-class business environment. The Seminar comes at a critical time when the three northeastern provinces of China are further implementing the arrangements for the full revitalization of northeast China and the construction of provinces strong in IP. This will help innovators in Northeast China better understand and utilize the Eurasian patent system, enhance their international IP layout capabilities, and contribute to high-quality development.

EAPO President Grigory Ivliev, along with his delegation, introduced six key topics including the Eurasian patent system and conducted communication. Nearly 400 participants from industry, academia, and IP sector across the three cities attended the events.(Translated from CNIPA Website Chinese Version)
