CNIPA Deputy Commissioner Meets Deputy Director General of IP Viet Nam in Beijing

On June 17, Lu Pengqi, Deputy Commissioner of the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), met in Beijing with Tran Le Hong, Deputy Director General of the Intellectual Property Office of Viet Nam (IP Viet Nam) and his delegation, who were participating in the CNIPA-IP Viet Nam Training Workshop on Geographical Indications. The two sides exchanged views on cooperation in the field of geographical indications and under the framework of the Belt and Road initiative.

Lu said that at the end of last year, the leaders of the two countries jointly announced building a China-Vietnam community with a shared future that carries strategic significance. In recent years, the CNIPA and IP Viet Nam has deepened cooperation in the IP field with frequent interaction. Lu expressed hope that both sides would continue to work together to further enhance exchanges and cooperation in various fields including geographical indications.

Tran Le Hong expressed appreciation for the development of China's IP work and expressed his desire to further strengthen cooperation and share best practices.
