On April 20, the Municipal Leading Group Office for IP work of Wuhan launched the opening ceremony of the 2021 IP Publicity Week. Jiang Wei, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Wuhan Municipal Committee and Deputy Mayor of Wuhan, attended the ceremony.

During the week-long event, Wuhan will launch more than 130 publicity activities focusing on the theme of "Enhancing Intellectual Property Protection Comprehensively, Striving to Build the New Development Paradigm". The Intellectual Property Circuit Court of the People's Court of Jiang'an District, the Intellectual Property Office of the People's Procuratorate of Jiang'an District and the People's Mediation Center for Intellectual Property Disputes of Wuhan City (WESTI Science Park Incubator of Jiang'an District) were inaugurated at the launch, marking a better pattern of coordinated IP protection in Wuhan.

The latest IP development status in Wuhan and some typical cases were introduced at the ceremony. Copyright-related civil cases were tried via the internet court on site.
