On April 26, Information Office of Shandong Provincial People's Government convened the News Conference on 4·26 World IP Day 2020. Shandong Intellectual Property Office released the White Paper on the Status of IP Development and Protection of Shandong Province in 2019.

In 2019, Shandong Provincial People's Government established the Leading Group for the Implementation of IP Strategy and issued the Notice on Implementing the "Bamboo Shoot Action" and Vigorously Cultivating Enterprises with Proprietary Intellectual Property Rights. Relevant departments at all levels thoroughly learnt and implemented the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on IP work and the arrangements of the CPC Central Committee, the State Council, the CPC Shandong Committee and the Provincial People's Government to solidly promote the building of a province strong on IP, and new progress was made in various aspects.

IP creation has been continuously expanded, patent authorization increased and IP protection tightened. First, administrative enforcement of law on IP is continuously enhanced; second, crackdown on IP-related illegal crimes is continuously strengthened; third, the leading role of IP judicial protection is prominent; fourth, mechanism construction to aid IP right protection is accelerated.

IP application, management and service work is promoted.
