Mr. Gurry appreciated CNIPA and Commissioner Shen's strong support for WIPO and him over the years, and spoke highly of the fruitful cooperation between WIPO and China. He has witnessed the rapid development of China's IP cause during his term of office. Today, China is leading the world in a number of IP indicators and has made important contributions to improving global IP systems. And China has carried out a series of pragmatic international exchanges and cooperation under the framework of WIPO. All these "China stories" are worth spreading worldwide, especially today, when the global community really needs to know what's going on. He hoped to maintain close contact with China in the future and consolidate their traditional friendship. (Translated from CNIPA Website Chinese Version)
