CNIPA Deputy Commissioner Leads Delegation on Working Visits to Mexico and Canada

Recently, at the invitation of the Mexican Institute of Industrial Property (IMPI) and the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO), Zhang Zhicheng, Deputy Commissioner of the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), led a delegation on working visits to Mexico and Canada. The delegation held bilateral talks with IMPI and CIPO, respectively, and signed an addendum to the memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of intellectual property (IP) between CNIPA and IMPI, and a new memorandum of understanding between CNIPA and CIPO. The delegation also held in-depth exchanges with IMPI and CIPO on the latest developments in their respective IP systems, IP protection, the application of artificial intelligence technologies, and future cooperation.

During the visit, the delegation, together with the Canada China Business Council and CIPO, held a roundtable with Canadian companies to brief them on the latest developments in China's IP work. The delegation also visited Chinese companies operating in Canada to learn about their current operations and concerns regarding overseas IP protection.
