The 7th Qingdao Multinationals Summit was recently held. Zhang Zhicheng, Deputy Commissioner of the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), attended the opening ceremony and delivered a keynote speech at the summit's main forum. Zhang, together with Wang Guiying, Vice Governor of Shandong Province, addressed the summit's closed-door meeting on intellectual property (IP) policy.
Zhang noted that CNIPA has continuously strengthened IP protection for foreign enterprises by improving top-level design, enhancing communication mechanisms and increasing the effectiveness of IP protection, achieving positive results. As 2026 marks the start of China's 15th Five-Year Plan period, China will provide higher standards, more practical measures, and better services to further strengthen its IP protection system, and enhance IP enforcement, fostering a more favorable business environment for foreign enterprises.
During the closed-door meeting, officials from relevant CNIPA departments introduced China's latest IP protection policies and engaged in in-depth discussions with representatives of nearly 30 foreign enterprises on issues of mutual interest.(Translated from CNIPA Website Chinese Version)
