Recently, at the invitation of the Egyptian Intellectual Property Authority (EGIPA) and the Department of Legal Affairs of Seychelles, Hu Wenhui, Deputy Commissioner of the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), led a delegation on working visits to Egypt and Seychelles. Hu held separate meetings with Hisham Azmi, Chairman of EGIPA, and with Vincent Perera, Attorney General of Seychelles, as well as Suleiman Athanasius, Acting Deputy Registrar General of the Registration Division of the Registrar General's Office under the Department of Legal Affairs of Seychelles. The delegation exchanged views with the Egyptian and Seychellois sides on the topics including the latest developments in intellectual property (IP) work, bilateral cooperation, IP utilization promotion, patent examination, and capacity building. The delegation also signed separate meeting minutes with the Egyptian and Seychellois sides.
During the visit to Egypt, the delegation visited Nile University and relevant innovation promotion agencies, and met with Chinese enterprises operating in Egypt to learn about their overseas IP protection needs and concerns.
