CNIPA and OEPM Launch Focal Point Mechanism Pilot Project

In order to better serve the economic and trade exchanges between China and Spain and to assist enterprises from both countries in addressing intellectual property-related issues and concerns in the other country, the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) and the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office (OEPM) have, after consultations, decided to jointly launch the CNIPA-OEPM Focal Point Mechanism pilot project.

Both CNIPA and OEPM will designate one officer each as intellectual property focal point to provide consulting services on intellectual property issues related to Chinese enterprises operating in Spain and Spanish enterprises operating in China, and to support these enterprises in obtaining effective intellectual property protection.
