CNIPA Deputy Commissioner Attends 2025 International Conference on the Development of Intellectual Property Services of CIFTIS

Recently, the 2025 International Conference on the Development of Intellectual Property Services of the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) was held in Beijing. Lu Pengqi, Deputy Commissioner of the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), attended the conference and delivered a speech.

Lu emphasized that the intellectual property (IP) service industry runs through every link of the IP system. It serves as the fundamental support for the development of IP work and is also a vital force in promoting scientific and technological innovation as well as international trade. He noted that CNIPA will further coordinate industry development and supervision, step up the cultivation of professional talents, deepen industry governance, crack down on illegal and irregular practices in IP agency services, strengthen international exchanges and cooperation, and work together to promote the high-quality development of the IP service industry.

The conference was attended by principals from CNIPA's IP Utilization Promotion Department and the Beijing Municipal Intellectual Property Office, as well as representatives from embassies and consulates in China and business associations from more than 20 countries and regions. At the event, the main findings of the national IP service industry statistical survey 2025 and the Beijing comprehensive pilot program for building IP finance ecosystem were released.(Translated from CNIPA Website Chinese Version)
