CNIPA Deputy Commissioner Meets with Senior Vice President of ABB Group
Updated: 9 24,2025

Recently, Lu Pengqi, Deputy Commissioner of the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA), met in Beijing with Charlotta Ljungdahl, Senior Vice President of Switzerland-based ABB Group.

Lu noted that in recent years, intellectual property (IP) protection, as an important component of the business environment, has been receiving growing attention from both Chinese and foreign enterprises. CNIPA has always adhered to the principle of equal treatment for domestic and foreign investment, ensuring equal and lawful IP protection, and safeguarding the legitimate rights and interests of foreign-invested enterprises. Looking ahead, CNIPA will continue to actively respond to concerns of both Chinese and foreign enterprises, contributing to creating a fairer, more transparent, and more predictable international business environment.

Ljungdahl said that China's strong IP protection has provided foreign enterprises with sufficient confidence and momentum for development. ABB will continue to deepen its involvement in the Chinese market, increase investment, and actively expand its business footprint in China.
