Recently, CNIPA and USPTO conducted the Discussion on PTAB, PRD and Patent Linkage was held through video meeting. Mr. Liu Ming, Deputy director of the Reexamination and Invalidation Department of the Patent Office (PRD) CNIPA, led the delegations of CNIPA to participate online discussion, with the participation of experts of PRD in relevant fields.

At the meeting, the two parties introduced basic information and latest status of PTAB and PRD respectively, and conducted in-depth discussions on the issues related to Patent Linkage.

Through this communication, both parties have greater understanding of each other's trial and appeal system and Patent Linkage. In the future, the two parties will continue to conduct exchange and discussions in more fields and deepen mutual understanding.
