Recently, the Patent Reexamination Board and the “Electronic Intellectual Property” magazine jointly held the “Design Patent Practice Seminar”. GeShu, Executive Deputy Director of PRB, and GaoShenghua, Deputy Director of PRB, attended the event. Nearly 200 people from relevant departments, courts, innovation subjects attended the event.
 

 

In his speech, GeShu pointed out that PRB has helped to protect intellectual property rights by constructing a typical case guidance mechanism, optimizing the examination process and examination mode, improving the quality of examination, creating a positive and clear examination environment, and promoting the establishment of a mechanism for confirmationof rights protection. The purpose of this activity is to explain how the PRB grasps the standards and scales of design examination cases, and help people understand the design patent examination standards more clearly and thoroughly.
 

 

In the seminar, PRB combined typical cases to explain the core of the public concerns, such as the design examination entity, the GUI patent confirmation criteria, and the clear expression of the design patent and the optimization of the scope of protection.
