With the sharp rise of three kinds of patent applications in China, the number of patent reexamination and invalidation application is also growing. Since 2010, Patent Reexamination Board (RPB) has annually bought out a number of major cases during “4.26” IPR Protection Week.
         These cases include invalidation application and patent administrative litigations which have large social impact, covering three types of patents (inventions, utility models and designs) in technological fields like telecommunications, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, materials, optoelectronics and so on. Meanwhile, there are also some reexamination request cases to reexamine previous decisions and integrated circuit layout-design exclusive rights cases.
