According to a decision jointly made by CNIPA and CIPO, the PPH pilot program between China and Canada will be extended for another three years between September 2018 and August 31, 2021.

The extended China-Canada PPH pilot program will use the PCT-PPH pilot program, enabling applicants to file PPH requests to the two offices using the PCT international work products. Relevant requirements and procedures shall be referred to in the latest Guidance of CNIPA-CIPO PPH Request. 

The China-Canada PPH pilot program was initially launched on September 1, 2013 for a duration of two years. It was extended on September 1, 2015 and terminated on August 31, 2018. (Translated from CNIPA Website Chinese Version)
