According to the Joint Statement of Intent of the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) and the Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia (MyIPO) on Cooperation in Patent Prosecution Highway, the PPH pilot program between SIPO (currently CNIPA) and MyIPO was launched on July 1, 2018 for a duration of two years and will be terminated on June 30, 2020.
After the launching of the China-Malaysia PPH Pilot Program, the applicants can file PPH requests to SIPO (currently CNIPA) according to the Procedures to File a Request to the SIPO (State Intellectual Property Office of the P. R. China) for Patent Prosecution Highway Pilot Program between the SIPO and the MyIPO (Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia); and file PPH requests to MyIPO according to the Procedures to File a Request to the MyIPO (Intellectual Property Corporation of Malaysia) for Patent Prosecution Highway Pilot Program between the SIPO (State Intellectual Property Office of the P.R.
