State Intellectual Property Office of the People's Republic of China and the National Institute of Industrial Property of Chile (INAPI) and the Industrial Property Office of the Czech Republic will launch the Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH) pilot projects on January 1, 2018, which are to end on December 31, 2020 and December 31, 2019 respectively.

According to the Memorandum of Understanding on the Cooperation between State Intellectual Property Office of the People's Republic of China (SIPO) and the National Institute of Industrial Property of Chile (INAPI) on the Patent Prosecution Highway, the SIPO-INAPI Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH) pilot program will be launched on Jan.1, 2018 for three years to Dec. 31, 2020. After the start of the PPH pilot program, applicants may submit a PPH request to SIPO in accordance with the Procedures to File a Request to the State Intellectual Property Office of the P. R. China (SIPO) under the Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH) Pilot Program between the SIPO and the National Institute of Industrial Property of Chile (INAPI), and submit a PPH request to INAPI pursuant to the Procedures to file a request to the INAPI (the National Institute of Industrial Property of Chile) for Patent Prosecution Highway Pilot Program between the INAPI and the State Intellectual Property Office of the P. R. China (SIPO).

Pursuant to the Joint Statement of Intent of the State Intellectual Property Office of China and the Industrial Property Office of the Czech Republic on Cooperation in Patent Prosecution Highway, the PPH pilot program will start on January 1, 2018 for a period of two years to 2019 December 31.
