Li Yuguang, Deputy Commissioner of the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO), has recently attended the 52th Series of Meetings of the Assemblies of the Member States of World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
This meeting focuses on discussions of the five remaining issues left by the 51th Series of Meetings, including the budget for the 2014/15 biennium, the Organization’s program, the design law treaty, copyright and future work of relevant committees and report of the Committee for Standards. After deep discussions, the member states reached consensus on many issues.
After the meetings, Li Yuguang also led a delegation to visit the National Board of Patents and Registration of Finland. Both sides had deep exchanges on many topics such as the latest development of both offices, PPH cooperation, and bilateral exchanges in 2014. Both sides also signed the Declaration of Intent on Extending the Patent Prosecution Highway Pilot Program between China’s State Intellectual Property Office and the National Board of Patents and Registration of Finland.
