In the first half, Jiangsu filed 65,396 patent applications, up 80% and defending its No.1 rank in the nation; 12,820 of which were for invention, up 81.7%.  Businesses in the province filed 30,519, up 74.6% and also ranking No.1 in the nation.  The province also obtained 32,001 patents. 2013-07-17
