SIPO and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology jointly issued the Guideline for work on IPR trusteeship for small and medium-sized enterprises clustering (SMEs) recently, declaring a series of measures such as further improving service for SMEs, promoting IPR service development and developing a group of IPR pilot enterprises.

Under the Guideline, the working process of IPR trusteeship for SMEs including formulating the work plan, selecting services agency, streamlining the trustee work, inspection and other three aspects. The Guideline says, after the one yeear of trusteeship service, the local IP office of provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities and IPR department of SMEs should arrange inspection and acceptance comprehensively on the trustee work.
