The State Council formulated and issued the Several Policies on Further Encouraging the Development of the Software and Integrated Circuit Industries recently, which contains seven major areas including research and development, IPR policies to encourage the development of the software and integrated circuit.

Under the policies, the government should encourage the enterprises to handle computer software copyright registration and apply for patent applications abroad, strengthen financing and policy support to the companies, develop the IPR services, effectively protect IPRs of software and integrated circuits, promote to popularize the authorized software and establish a long term effect mechanism.
