The State Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine recently issued a Circular on Cracking down Fake or Counterfeiting Certificate of Origin, requiring launching a campaign on this subject and strengthening management of marks of origin for exports.

According to the circular, the administration of quality supervision, inspection and quarantine at all levels shall strengthen management of certificate of origin. Spot check on the purchasing and using the certificate would be conducted to prevent illegal companies from using, buying and selling the certificate. Concerted efforts would be made to crack down fake or counterfeiting certificate of origin, search for clues in such violations by cooperating with other departments and severely investigate and punish the illegal companies.
