In an effort to further regulate using authorized art works in broadcasting station and televisions and to enhance the awareness of respecting creation and IPR among these organs, opinions on implementing IPR strategy concerned broadcasting, film and television was recently released by the State Broadcasting Film and Television Administration.

According to the opinions, efforts should be vowed to ensure a full scale implementation of state IPR strategy in fields of broadcasting, film and television in accordance with policy of encouraging innovation, efficient utilization, and protection under the law and scientific management. The opinions strengthen the supervision of video websites providing authorized video works and strikes the internet infringement, emphasis should be focused on cracking down the pirated films and television operas. The supervision has also covered TV shopping in order to fight against distribution of fake and shoddy products through internet and TV station.
