The National Development and Reform Commission and other 5 agencies jointly released a Comments on Development of Semiconductor Lighting and Energy Saving Industry, setting the targets as follows: the average annual rate for output value shall log at 30%, functionality lighting market share shall reach 20%, LCD backlights, 50% and decorative lights, 70%.

Under the comments, make concerted efforts to implement green lights program and foster a large number of pillar companies with self-reliant IPRs, brand and competitive by enhancing proprietary innovation, expanding consumer demand for green products, winning the advantages of competition, simulating enterprises to lead technological innovation, relaying on model project and improving environmental for industrial development. Special attention will also be lent to break technology breakthrough, facilitate energy saving and emission reduction and enable to rapid yet steady economic development.
