The Ministry of Culture along with the State Administration for Industry and Commerce promulgated the Circular on Regulating Cartoon and Animation Market.  Under the Circular, nationwide campaigns will be waged from August to November 10, 2009 to regulate contents of cartoon and animation products, derivatives, exhibitions and other activities.  Any product with pornographic, violent, pulp and harmful content or infringing IPR will be sanctioned.
In addition, special attention will be lent to protection of high-profile products while Beijing, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Hunan, Hubei, Guangdong, Guangxi, Shandong and Jilin will be top on the agenda.
