The Supreme People's Court promulgated Several Opinions on Providing Judicial Safeguard and Legal Services for Promoting Agricultural Reform and Development on December 4, stressing intensifying trial of agricultural IP cases and stepping up protection of agricultural innovations and new varieties of plants with self-reliant IPRs.

The Opinions calls for intensification of protection of innovations and IPRs to promote agricultural innovation and imposed stringent sanctions on those criminals racketeering, stealing and deceiving innovations or government officials' wrongdoing in examining request for funds.
