On the morning of November 19, CNIPA Commissioner Shen Changyu welcomed the first visit of IP Australia Director General Mr. Michael Schwager and His Delegation in Beijing. The two sides signed a supplementary agreement to the MoU on IP cooperation, which incorporated trademarks and geographical indications into their cooperation. According to Shen Changyu, China and Australia are important trade partners to each other and the IP cooperation between the two countries has always been a focus. In 2017, leaders of both countries witnessed the signing of MoU on cooperation between CNIPA and IP Australia. Over the two years, under the framework of the MoU, the two sides have carried out a series of fruitful cooperation in personnel exchange, patent examination, data exchange and other related fields. He hoped that the two offices could further expand their cooperation fields and directions in the future to provide better service for IP users of both countries.
