The intellectual property office under the State Council, China's Cabinet, has recently issued an in-depth plan for implementing the national intellectual property strategy.
The plan clarifies six major tasks and 106 specific measures to promote the implementation of the strategy this year.
The plan promotes deepening reform of the intellectual property management system, enhancing the judicial and administrative protection of intellectual property, and promoting Internet-Plus intellectual property protection.
The transfer and transformation of intellectual property are encouraged, and the intellectual property information service is to be improved.
In particular, an intellectual property strategy for small and medium-sized enterprises will be implemented.
The plan also advances improving international cooperation on intellectual property, especially with countries along the Belt and Road.
In addition, the plan also outlines the strategy for strengthening the nation's intellectual property power, accelerating the construction of strong intellectual property provinces, cities and enterprises, strengthening awareness of intellectual property rights, and actively promoting the effectiveness of China's intellectual property protection work.
The plan also proposes actively participating in global governance and rulemaking for intellectual property under multilateral frameworks such as the World Intellectual Property Organization and the World Trade Organization, and to continue to vigorously promote the use of the Madrid International Registration System and the Patent Cooperation Treaty.
