On August 31, CNIPA Secretary of CPC Leading Group and Deputy Commissioner Liu Junchen met with a delegation of National Office of Intellectual Property of Vietnam (NOIP) led by Director Generan Dinh Huu Phi. The two sides introduced the latest development of IP in China and Vietnam and had an in-depth exchange on further cooperation.
“Institutional reform is the need of IP development. Through reform, centralization of management of patents, trademarks and geographical indications of origin would be realized, so that power would be integrated, procedures would be optimized, and applicants would be facilitated; benefits of reform would be gradually released. Chinese government pays high attention to IP work, and CNIPA would carry out the work with focuses on IP creation, protection and application.” Liu Junchen introduced the situation of institutional reform of CNIPA, and expressed that China was willing to strengthen cooperation with Vietnam and learn from each other.
Dinh Huu Phi spoke highly of achievements of Chinese IP development. He remarked that Vietnam was also improving IP system through institutional adjustment so as to better meet requirements of the society.
