China National Intellectual Property Administration Commissioner Shen Changyu shared views with Manuel Guzman, President of the U.S.-based Chemical Abstracts Service on IP information exchange and international cooperation in the chemical field at the Ninth China Patent Annual Conference on August 30.  Shen said that China has seen outcomes in both patent quality and quantity. He wished closer cooperation in examination practice between the two sides, through taking full advantage of CAS's strength in chemical information. Shen also wished such cooperation can help China improve patent quality, promote IP use and commercialization. Guzman introduced the latest development of intelligence information solutions of CAS. Guzman said that CAS will work harder to provide better information and IP services for China's innovation and upgrade of industrial structure.
