China National Intellectual Property Administration Secretary of CPC Leading Group, Deputy Commissioner Liu Junchen met with Udo Meyer, Senior Vice President/Head of Global Intellectual Property, BASF SE at the Ninth Patent Annual Conference on August 30. The two sides shared comments on foreign companies' trademark filing and protection in China. Liu said that China is constantly fine-tuning its IP laws, and the trademark rights of foreign companies are protected equally in China. Besides, China will enhance administrative enforcement and judicial trail on trademark protection in the future. Meyer said that outstanding achievements have been yielded in China's IP work. BASF has stronger confidence in doing business in China with China's heightened IP protection.
