Recently, SIPO Deputy Commissioner He Zhimin met with Adil El-Maliki, Director General of the Moroccan Office of Industrial and Commercial Property (OMPIC) and Adel Elsaid Hassan Ewida, President of the Egyptian Patent Office in Beijing.

During the meeting with OMPIC Director General Adil El-Maliki, both sides exchanged and discussed the cooperation in the field of sharing examination results, patent data exchange, Patent Prosecution Highway (PPH), patent retrieval systems and personnel training, among others. He Zhimin gave a brief account of the latest development in China's intellectual property. He pointed out that China and Morocco have maintained a remarkable, long-standing trade cooperation over the years, worked closely in the field of intellectual property, and achieved important preliminary results. He stressed his wish to further strengthen cooperation in the future by building an all-round friendly cooperation model and developing pragmatic cooperation schemes. Mr. El-Maliki highly praised the work carried out by China in intellectual property. He said that given China's remarkable achievements in intellectual property in such a short period of time, he hoped to learn from China's successful experience, establish regular communication mechanisms, and continue to promote cooperation between both offices.

He Zhimin said that China and Egypt have maintained long-term friendly relations and harvested important achievements. The PPH pilot program launched by two sides last year has played an active role in protecting intellectual property rights for both Chinese and Egyptian users. He hoped to further deepen and develop the cooperation between two countries. Mr. Adel Elsaid Hassan Ewida pointed out that Egypt continues to improve its intellectual property system. He hoped that Egypt can learn from China's experience in the reform of this area and apply them in Egypt.
