At the invitation of the Finnish Patent and Registration Office (PRH), Shen Changyu, Commissioner of the State Intellectual Property Office of China (SIPO) led a delegation to visit Finland. Shen Changyu and Antti Riivari, Director General of the PRH held SIPO-PRH intellectual property office heads meeting and signed the Memorandum of Understanding between the State Intellectual Property Office and the Finnish Patent and Registration Office.
This is the first meeting between the heads of the two offices since Antti Riivari was appointed PRH Director General. Shen Changyu introduced the latest development of China's intellectual property (IP) work and the latest situation of SIPO. The two sides also exchanged views on issues such as IP policies, IP service and operation, patent Prosecution highway cooperation and personnel training. Shen Shangyu said that Finland is an example of an innovation-oriented country. PRH has a wealth of experience in encouraging entrepreneurship and innovation and promoting the transformation of scientific and technological achievements. China is willing to continue to carry out pragmatic cooperation with Finland and continuously expand the areas of cooperation, so as to provide better services for the public and IP users in the two countries.
Antti Riivari said that Shen Changyu's visit not only continued the friendly cooperation between the two offices, but also opened a new page for the future cooperation. PRH will, as always, maintain close contacts with SIPO and jointly promote the active IP cooperation between the two countries.
After the meeting, Shen Changyu and Antti Riivari signed a memorandum of understanding between the two offices. During the visit, Shen Changyu also visited the Chinese Embassy in Finland and held talks with Chinese Ambassador to Finland Chen Li.
