He Zhimin meets with Alejandro Juan Roca Campana, Senior Director of the Access to Information and Knowledge Division, WIPO, and his delegation

Recently, SIPO Deputy Commissioner He Zhimin met with a delegation led by Alejandro Juan Roca Campana, Senior Director of the Access to Information and Knowledge Division, WIPO. The two sides discussed about issues concerning their joint construction of a WIPO Technology and Innovation Support Center (TISC) in China.

He Zhimin said that in recent years, with a better innovation environment and increasingly popular mass creation in China, building and promoting TISC in China can bring WIPO's advantages of rich technical data information and excellent international intellectual resources into full play, help Chinese intellectual property users make better use of innovation resources, and thus enhance the overall innovation ability of China. He Zhimin also briefed Mr. Alejandro Juan Roca Campana about the latest development of Chinese intellectual property (IP) and IP-related information service.

Alejandro Juan Roca Campana said that the TISC program will provide support of IP information analysis and management to innovations and creators of its host country. He hoped the program would succeed in China which is one of the most important WIPO cooperation partners.

During the meeting, the two sides held in-depth consultation on working assumptions and development plan about their TISC cooperation in China. He Zhimin hoped that WIPO's TISC program would incorporate the situation of current IP protection and information service basis in China, take differentiated needs of Chinese regions into consideration, and build a TISC service network here with Chinese characteristics by means of piloting, gradual promotion, and big push successively.
