Summary of Bilateral Cooperation on Intellectual Property was signed by the Chinese bureau and the Austrian bureau

 

In order to further develop the Sino-Austrian exchange and cooperation on intellectual property, Tian Lipu, Director of the State Intellectual Property Office and Luederler, Director of the Patent Bureau of Austria signed the Summary of Bilateral Cooperation Talk between the Chinese Bureau and the Austrian Bureau for 2007.  According to the Summary, the Chinese bureau and the Austrian bureau will implement the exchange plan for patent examiners, enhance mutual visits of senior personnel and expand areas of cooperation, so as to further enhance and develop the traditional cooperation and friendship between the two sides at a higher level.

During the meeting, both sides gave an account on the latest development in the intellectual property area and also confirmed that in-depth cooperation should be carried out in strengthening bilateral high layer dialogue and the training of patent examiners.

It was learnt that since the 80's of the last century, the Chinese bureau and the Austrian bureau have established friendly and cooperative relations with each other. Tian said that "there is a long-term, friendly and cooperative relationship between the Chinese bureau and the Austrian bureau.  In the current rapid development and change process of the international intellectual property system, our cooperation has been zoomed from pure technical cooperation to bilateral strategic cooperative partnership."

Luederler also highly commended on the good cooperative relationship between the Austrian bureau and the Chinese bureau and he believes that the signing of the Cooperation summary will be conducive to enhancing and deepening the exchange and cooperation between the two bureaus.
