Lin Binghui, Vice Commissoner of the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) visited Wuxi City days ago and was present at the Award-giving Soiree of the CCTV 2006 Innovation Grand Ceremony sponsored by SIPO and CCTV Economic Channel.  Lin also visited some high and new technology enterprises and made an on-the-spot investigation on the intellectual property work of these enterprises in Wuxi City.

Recently, Award-giving Soiree of CCTV 2006 Innovation Grand Ceremony was solemnly held at the Wuxi City Sports Center. Mr. Lin Binghui, and Zhou Jieqin, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Wuxi City Committee were present at the soiree and giving awards to the winning units. Wuxi Little Swan Co., Ltd and Wuxi Ruifeng Automobile Design Co., Ltd. were given Grand Awards.

The 2006 Innovation Grand Ceremony activities were launched in an innovation mode by which, the awards for the best exterior design, the best functional design, the best annual special-feature design and the best annual independent innovation design were appraised and selected from amongst the products of household electrical appliances, digital and pocket computers and mobilephones, combining the opinions of the representatives of the consumers and the appraisals of the experts of the industries.  Besides, the rules for the grading of awards through discussion by a special panel on the spot is added to the appraisal and selection of the best annual special- feature award.  The 2006 China Industrial Design Award /Taihu Lake Award was created by the current organizing Committee for the purposes of constructing the Wuxi Famous City Design, promoting the development of China's industrial design and encouraging corporate independent innovation.

At the award-giving ceremony, a whole set of household electrical appliances produced by French Milo Design Co., Ltd won 2006 China Industrial Design Grand Award ? The Taihu Lake Award; a whole set of Global u-home household electrical appliances produced by Haier Group; the digital magic square washing machine produced by Little Swan Co., Ltd., the Bosch Double-pressure refrigerator produced by Jiangsu Bosch Household Electrical Appliances Marketing Co., Ltd. and the Ion TV produced by Sichuan Changhong Electrical Appliances Co., Ltd won 2006 China Industrial Design Gold Award; Wuxi Ruifeng Automobile Design Co., Ltd. and other six companies won 2006 China Industrial Design Award / Concept Award and the designed products of the 9 companies of Konca Group won 2006 China Industrial Design Award / Excellence Award.
