Middle-Term Target of China, Japan and Korea IP Cooperation

At the Sixth China, Japan and Korean IP Commissioner Policy Dialogue held recently, the three commissioners reached an agreement on the future cooperation blueprint. According that, the target of middle term of cooperation is:  searching information from each other and sharing examination results. In this way, examination capacity, efficiency and quality will be improved. This is the most remarkable achievement of the dialogue.

According to available information, the fifth dialogue, held on December 1st, 2005 in Korea, the three commissioners made such blueprint so as to promote the cooperation among the three countries in IP field.  In 2006, working groups from the three countries have discussed details for many times, leading to the achievement of the sixth commissioners dialogue.

Except the middle-term target, the three commissioners exchanged their views on issues in international IP field, and further discussed the framework of future cooperation. They all agreed to enforce cooperation in comparative studies on IP laws in the three countries, experience in examination as well as infrastructure construction.
