Recently, China-Japan IP Strategy Seminar, co-hosted by China IP Association and Japan Inventors Association, was held in Beijing. Representatives from SIPO, China IP Association, IPR agents, universities, Japan Inventors Association, Hitachi (China) Ltd., and Nagasaki University attended the seminar. Mr. Zhao Chunshan, secretary-general of China IP Association and director of RD Department of Japan Inventors Association, delivered the opening speech respectively.

 

On the seminar, Japanese representatives gave reports on " IP Personnel Training in Japan", " IP Strategy in Enterprises" and " IP Strategy in University". Japanese attendants also introduced the situation of IP personnel training in America, Germany and China, and especially in Japan and Japan's plan and strategy in IP personnel training in the next ten years. Representative from Hitachi delivered speeches on IP strategy in Japanese enterprises and universities with a focus on how to combine business, R&D and IPR protection together so as to enforce enterprises' advantage on international market. Delegate from and Nagasaki University introduced how Japanese universities to protect IPR and to cooperate with enterprises to commercialize patented products.

 

Mr. Li Shunde, professor from Chinese Academy of Social Science, specially introduced the structure of Chinese law system in IP and its development trend.

 

All attendants believed the seminar was quite fruitful and expect more such opportunities to exchange ideas and experience in IPR protection.
