According to Mr. Zhang Wen, director of Chongqing IPR Bureau, four municipalities under the central government, i.e., Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin and Chongqing, will set up a joint operation platform in 2007 with a purpose to cooperate in law enforcement, communication and to enforce coordination.

The platform, mainly build on a joint conference, will have a coordination mechanism to deal with patent IPR law enforcement and dispute settlement. Meanwhile, the IP departments in the four cities will enforce their cooperation with legislation department to speed up the settlement of IPR cases.
