Eighteen China government departments, such as the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of Commence and SIPO, decided to jointly host IPR Protection Publicity Week from April 20 to 26 in whole China, so as to further spread IPR protection consciousness in China and create a favorable environment for independent innovation and opening to the outside world.

 

A series of activities will be organized in the week, entitled as Enforce IPR Protection and Promote Independent Innovation, to publicize the laws and regulations, principle and policies of Chinese government in IPR protection, relevant international conventions, China's strategy in IPR protection in the 2006-2007 period, IPR protection system, examples and achievements in IPR protection, and the significance of IPR protection in China's social and economic development.
