In his speech, Wen pointed out that the initiation of the Sino-Japanese economic high-level dialogue mechanism is an indication that the bilateral economic cooperation will be upgraded to a higher level.  He emphasized that at present and in the days to come, this mechanism can play an overall and promoting role in the key areas' cooperation such as energy, environmental protection, finance, high and new science and technology, information telecommunication and IP protection.

In his speech, Abe stated that the building of an economic high-level dialogue mechanism is the crystallization of the mutually preferential strategy relationship between Japan and China in the economic field as well as a new step in the bilateral economic and trade cooperation. He hoped that both sides would develop and promote the dialogue on a global height, so as to constantly make achievements and promote the all-round development of the China-Japan relations.
