First Chorus Festival Held in SIPO

The Leaders and the Winners

On May 17, the First Chorus Festival of SIPO ― Harmonious, Colorful and Flowery May, ended on a high note in waves of applauses. The contestants from the Administrative Service Center came out as winners with their remarkable performance of Plunking My Favorite Native Lute and Commissar Mao with Us Together that pulled everybody's heartstrings. Tian Lipu, the Commissioner of SIPO, handed the awards to the winners, and Lin Binghui, He Hua, Yang Tiejun, the Vice Commissioners ― to contestants of the 2nd, 3rd, and organizational awards respectively.

With the continuous surge in China's patent applications, SIPO has emerged as one of the most heavily staffed central state organs. Against the backdrop of IPR Cultural Year, the Festival was designed to nurture a harmonious environment for IPR development, showcase the talents and styles of SIPO staffs, and accentuate harmonious department culture through music and songs. According to the organizers, the Festival also echoed the spirit of the Letter from Vice Premier Wu Yi to All the Young SIPO Employees.
