"Report on the Innovation Index Research of China's 31 Provinces, Autonomous Regions and Municipalities under the Central Government" was Published

 

"Report on the Innovation Index Research of China's 31 Provinces, Autonomous Regions and Municipalities under the Central Government" compiled by the topic group of the People's University of China was published recently. The independent innovation capability indexes of Beijing and Shanghai tie for first place.

 

This Report indicates that the innovation capability of China's provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities under the Central Government is divided into three groups: Shanghai, Beijing, Jiangsu and Guangdong provinces and municipalities under the Central Government are classified as the first echelon. They are China's strong innovation regions. Tianjin, Shandong, Zhejiang, Liaoning, Hebei, Shanxi, Sichuan and Fujian provinces and municipality under the Central Government are classified as the second echelon. They are China's advantageous innovation regions. The other 19 provinces, autonomous regions and municipality under the Central Government are classified as the third echelon. They are China's weak innovation regions.

 

According to Zhao Yanyun, Director of the Applied Statistic Science Research Center of the People's University of China, the innovation index include 8 innovation factors, namely innovation resource, brainstorming capability, realization of technology, realization of value, realization of talents, radiation capability, sustained innovation and internet capability. They are sub-divided into 39 specific indexes.
