On July 27, the National Patent Technology Exhibition and Exchange Center of Beijing signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the National Patent Technology Exhibition and Exchange Center of Jiangxi in Beijing. The signing of the agreement indicated the confidence and determination of the two centers in exploring new ways of patent technology exhibition and exchange and promoting the commercialization and industrialization of independent intellectual property in Beijing Municipality and Jiangxi Province. It will play an exemplary role in guiding the development of such centers nationwide.

 

This is another important interregional interactive activity between the national patent technology exhibition and exchange centers after the cooperation between that of Beijing and Tianjin, aiming at strengthening mutual complement of patent resources and information between the two regions, promoting the interregional patent transfer, conversion and implementation for better economic development in these regions.

 

In 2006, the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO) issued the Program of Establishing the Platform for National Patent Technology Exhibition and Exchange, hoping to establish and develop a credible and low-cost national patent technology exhibition and exchange system through supporting and developing some regional patent technology exhibition and exchange centers in some selected qualified cities nationwide, and on this basis, to form a great platform for national patent technology exhibition and exchange with comparatively higher reputation and public confidence. The two centers of Beijing and Jiangxi are included in the list of 19 national level patent technology exhibition and exchange platforms authorized by the SIPO. The signing of the strategic cooperation agreement between the two centers in Beijing and Jiangxi reflected the rapid progress and fully development in their work of patent exhibition and exchange.
