He Hua Met Representatives From the Taiwan-Based Asia Pacific Intellectual Property Association

 

 

On the morning of August 23, He Hua, Deputy Commissioner of the State Intellectual Property Office, met the four-people delegation from Taiwan-based Asia Pacific Intellectual Property Association (APIPA) led by Mei-hua Wang, High-Level Consultant of the association. The two parties exchanged views at amiable and friendly atmosphere.

 

While meeting the Taiwan delegation, He introduced SIPO’s major function, organizational structure, human resource allocation, and the latest achievements made in patent examination and grant. Meanwhile, He answered questions on the collection of patent documents, experience of new examiner recruitment and training and information construction.

Wang, for her part, introduced the information on the IP works in Taiwan region and short term development plans. At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties hoped to further strengthen bilateral exchanges, so as to continue expanding and deepening bilateral cooperation for joint development in IP sector. Wang and her party also exchanged views with staff of SIPO Informationization Office, Patent Documentation Department, China Patent Information Center and IP Publishing House.
