The result of the preliminary check of the 10th China Patent Awards was released on September 4. Of the 318 items for appraisal, which include 261 patents of invention, 52 patents of utility model and five patents of design, 292 had passed the preliminary check and 26 failed. These items for appraisal consist of 187 items recommended by local IP administrations, 55 by various ministries and commissions, 24 by academicians and 52 by the central enterprises.

 

On January 18, the State Intellectual Property Office formally launched the 10th China Patent Awards, which caught wide attentions from all walks of life. Insiders noted that the awards will play larger roles in improving China's independent intellectual property quality and upgrading and adjusting the country's IP structure, and will exert increasing influences upon science and technology and IP circles.
