Tian Lipu talks with Mpazi Sinjela
On September 7, Tian Lipu, Commissioner of the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO), met with a visiting delegation headed by Mpazi Sinjela, Director of the Worldwide Academy of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and Mohamed A.A.E. Sheikh Vice-Chancellor of the University of Khartoum. The two parties exchanged views on cooperation on intellectual property (IP) education.
Tian expressed his appreciation to WIPO Worldwide Academy for its supports to China's IP development, pointing out that WIPO Worldwide Academy consistently deepens its cooperation with the SIPO in recent years, and this meeting will further strengthen bilateral cooperation. Sinjela conveyed WIPO Director General Kamil Idris' regards to Tian.
China has a history of more than 50 years' of friendly cooperation with Sudan. Tian noted that it is reasonable for China and Sudan to further strengthen cooperation in IP sector on the basis of previous cooperation. Sinjela pointed out that China and Sudan have long-term bilateral cooperation. China is Sudan's best cooperation partner and Sudan would like to cooperate with China's IP training organizations in promoting IP education in Sudan. Then, Sheikh briefed on the information of his university, noting his university will establish an IP school. He earnestly hoped to strengthen cooperation with China on IP training.
