On September 11, the China Contemporary Inventors' Innovation Lecturing Tour ended successfully with the thunderous applause at the Great Hall of the People of Henan Province. The lecturing tour, jointly held by the State Intellectual Property Office (SIPO), the Publicity Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, All-China Federation of Trade Union, the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China, All-China Women's Federation and China Inventions Association, started on June 28 in Beijing and gave lectures in Liaoning, Chongqing, Hainan and Henan in succession.

 

Through local IP administrations' active organization and meticulous preparation, a total of nearly 5,000 people listened to the lectures, which were covered by more than 100 central and local media. The lecturer group was warmly received during the whole program. The two lectures in Hainan and Henan were made under the strong requests from the two local IP administrations, which were strongly supported and valued by local governments of Chongqing and Hainan.

 

The inventors of the lecturer group were selected from the winners of the Invention and Pioneer Prize, Gold Prize of China Patents, the New Century Women Inventors Prize, the National Science and Technology Progress Award and the National Technology Invention Award. On the one hand, these inventors are from all walks of life and have made outstanding achievements through inventions in their own ordinary posts, which is in line with the contemporary development trend of constructing an innovative country, playing guiding roles in the whole society; on the other hand, they are also common people who live together with the mass and their experiences can be examples to encourage common people to do more invention works. The two factors can explain why they received warm welcomes from the audiences whenever they went.

 

The lectures greatly inspired audiences, playing positive roles in improving Chinese people's innovation awareness, stimulating the innovation enthusiasm of the whole society and creating a sound innovation environment. Many people wished that more such activities could be held so that a larger number of people could participate in the program of mass innovation. Meanwhile, inventors were also deeply touched, saying that inventors are highly valued in China. The phenomenon indicates that China attaches great importance to innovation, talent training and intellectual property, which will give a strong impetus to the construction of the social environment of respecting labor, intellect, innovation and talent.

 

In addition, on the afternoon of September 11, the lecturer group gave the last lecture of the lecturing tour with more than 1,800 people from all walks of life in Henan Province participated. The lecture was given by Bao Qifan, Vice President of Shanghai International Port (Group) Co. Ltd., Wang Yongmin, Chairman of Beijing Wangma Group and Zhong Chunyan, General Manager of the Hainan Yeguo Foods Co. Ltd. The three inventors briefed on their own invention experiences by giving the lectures of "Innovations Building the Undertakings and Inventions Changing the Life," "Winning Honors for China Through Inventions," and "A Patent Creating an Industry."
